I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being an outstanding Real Estate Agency. Some people think that one agency is just like another or that all agent's are the same, but this is very untrue.

My husband and I started looking for a new home in February of this year, and actually found a house that we liked by accident. We called the listing agency and spoke to an agent there, who was not the listing agent, but with the listing agency. We informed her of our interest in the home and proceeded with the offer. I can tell you that from the very beginning, it did not go well, mostly because of our agent, whom I thought was representing our best interest.

To make a long story short, we didn't get the house and lost $800.00 ($500.00 escrow and $300.00 for the inspection); we had to get an attorney to get $1500.00 back of the earnest money.

We were not ready to go through this nightmare again and decided not to pursue a new home. Then, by accident again, in April, I met Kathy Sims, real estate agent. She had a home in foreclosure that I saw. I was very reluctant to even talk to her; I just wanted information on the house and to hang up with her quickly. Well, I can tell you that I'm glad it did not happen that way. Although, that house was not meant to be ours, she went on a search for the perfect house for my family, taking into consideration what everybody wanted, including my children.

It took some time and a lot of houses, before we settled on the area and then she searched for the house we were looking for, and then she found it. The perfect house that met everyone's needs.

We made the offer and settled on a price, and then the garage caught on fire. Kathy really looked after our best interest. She was concerned about us and wanted to make sure that we were taken care of. Her commission, I'm sure mattered to her, but it was our best interest that she went after. She did her job and did it very well. She represented us in the purchase of this home and looked after our needs and concerns first.

Luckily, the garage was taken care of, with Kathy's persistence. But it didn't stop there, when we went to inspect the home, the house had huge holes everywhere, where the family had taken down tons of pictures and frames. Kathy saw our disappointment of the condition of the walls, and while we were at closing, had someone to come out and have most of our house plastered and painted as a surprise. She wanted us to be happy, and we were thrilled.

I can tell you, I've had a realtor who did not take up for us and we would have been in a home with a lot of problems, she was not concerned about us or our money and did not take care of our best interest, but instead, tried to force us to comply with everybody else's. On the opposite side I had Kathy, who made me feel like I was the most important person and that my money and family were important. She fought for us and questioned things, that as a realtor she should have questioned. She got results. What I'm trying to say is some realtor's do their job and some don't. And I would much prefer someone who does their job any day.

Thanks to her and your agency we have a wonderful home in a great neighborhood and I am glad everyday that the first home with the first realtor did not work out. I'm glad I had the pleasure to meet Kathy, and have her as my realtor. I have spread the word, that if your buying a home anywhere in the Raleigh area, your agency is the place to go.

Thank you more than you will ever know. I say thank you to you because I have also learned from past experience, that good customer service starts with the broker in charge.
